Real-time overview

Check current traffic, pause updates and open a focused report

Open Real-time from your site's navigation. This realtime overview keeps detailed sessions and maps separate so you can check current activity without opening them.

Read the numbers

  • Active users: activity during the last five minutes, across all traffic. Main's historical date range and filters do not restrict this count.
  • Pageviews per minute: pageview counts across the last thirty minutes.
  • Pages, Referrers and Countries: the top ten entries by sessions during the last five minutes. Switch tabs to change the ranking dimension.

Users, sessions and pageviews measure different things. Do not expect these totals to match. Country attribution can also differ between a ranking and broader Main report filters.

Refresh and pause

The overview normally refreshes every ten seconds while active. Pause stops automatic refresh; the refresh button still requests an update. Resume restarts automatic refresh. The last complete update time uses your selected timezone.

If a refresh fails, previously loaded values remain visible with a warning. They are not current until a successful refresh. A failed request is not reported as zero traffic. When offline, the overview shows that it is waiting for a connection.

Open details

Select a ranking row to open Main with a fresh five-minute window and the chosen filter. Comparison is disabled for that drilldown. Browser Back restores the selected ranking and pause state.

Use Globe only when you need a map. On Main, the five-minute live count opens recent session details; closing that panel stops its detailed-session polling.

If nothing arrives

Check the tracking script and script troubleshooting. Confirm the correct site ID, a successful script request, and that the page is not excluded by your tracking settings or browser protections.
